A plant-based diet is a going thing now with many people opting not to consume meat. Meat is unhealthy, being carcinogenic, and can cause all kinds of other diseases.
That said, one would think any kind of plant-based diet is good. But that is not true. Nowadays more and more people are opting for Gluten Free Ingredients. But what is gluten?
Simply put, the sticky substance that holds our bread, kinds of pasta and wheat together is because of the presence of gluten. It is the Plant-Based Protein present in grains like barley wheat rye and others.
Now this protein is responsible for damaging the inner walls of the intestines causing celiac disease. Gluten comprises two main proteins called gliadin and glutenin. Gliadin is the element that causes all the possible sicknesses.
In celiac disease, the immune system recognizes gluten as a foreign body and attacks it. This also damages the stomach insides. Thus the patient suffers from all kinds of symptoms such as:
- Bloated gut
- Anemia
- Tooth enamel discoloration
- Smelly stools
- Depression symptoms
- Skin allergies
- Stubborn constipation
- Runny diarrhea
All said and done there has got to be a solution to this. How do we fix this? The solution is obviously to go gluten-free. But how?
